The USMC M14

From the Service Rifles of the Vietnam war to Match Conditioned dreadnaughts of the rifle range, and finally the Designated Marksman Rifles of the Global War on Terror, the M14 would serve the USMC for over half a century.

A contentious rifle that was supposed to assume all leading roles, the M14 would find its footing in support instead. Accurate and capable of ranges the early M16 could not attain, the Marine Corps would embrace the rifle as an arm for marksmen from the firing lines of Camp Perry to the Designated Marksmen of the rifle squad.
